Special thanks to Jaja Jerold with Modern Fine Arts

Bio:
Calligraphic master, Zhuang Li Wai (descendant of famous philosopher Master Zhuang Zi and Emperor Zhuang of The Zhou Dynasty) was born in Canton, China in 1951. He migrated to Thailand at the age of 14 and finished his B.A. in Economics from Chulalongkhon University in 1974. He moved to United States in 1980. At the age of 15, he started to study calligraphy with the late Professor Zhuang Li Wen who was his cousin and the late Mr. Li Tin Kwan with the standard styles of Zhong You (The Period of Three Kingdom 220-280AD), Zhang Zhi (The Tang Dynasty 618-907AD), Wang Xi Zhi (The Jin Dynasty 265-420AD), and another Kwan script by Huaisu (The Tang Dynasty 777AD). Master Zhuang Li Wai has been doing his calligraphy for more than 35 years and since he found himself, he has been influenced by some modern and western master painters such as Kandinsky, Miro, and Jackson Polloc. He captured the inspiration and the accents from these great masters' abstract art ideas, he then created his own unique style and spectrum. Many of Master Zhuang Li Wai's masterpieces have been collected by many museums and private collectors. His dream is for his art to hopefully one day touch the heart of more people in the world.
